46. Lake Constance Bike Marathon
7th September 2019 marks the day again: the 46th bike marathon that takes you around the entire Lake of Constance. On one day, on three routes. Further information on the event and on registration can be found here.
Tour around the lower lake
A day tour around the lower lake. The tour starts in the Hotel K99 in Radolfzell, taking the cycle path to Konstanz via Markelfingen and Allensbach.
From Konstanz, you continue your route along the lake towards Stein am Rhein (Switzerland), passing through Gottlieben, Ermatingen, Steckborn and Mammern. We recommend taking a break in Stein am Rhein to enjoy its beautiful city center and its medieval old town.
Cycling back to Germany, you ride along the lake via the peninsula Höri, Wangen, Gaienhofen and Moos. The trip can be shortened at various points by taking a boat, e.g. from Steckborn to Gaienhofen.
The Lake Constance Cycle Path
The Lake Constance Cycle Path is one of Europe's most favourite bike paths. The tour around the whole lake will take you through three countries: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Being approximately 260km long, the tour can be conveniently split up into day trips, almost always letting you cycle along the lake.

Island Reichenau Loop
Starting in Radolfzell Haselbrunn, this 45km trip takes you to the Reichenau Island via the city garden in Allensbach. A beautiful avenue road going through the biggest nature reserve on Germany's lakeshore brings you onto Reichenau Island.

This tour starts in Radolfzell's city garden and leads you through botanical highlights. Enjoy the lush greenery of the Aach-valley, a beautiful show garden alongside the Aach river and various farm gardens.

Hergottstisch – Radolfzell Loop
This mountain bike tour via the Bohlinger Schlucht (canyon) and the Herrgottstisch takes you up onto approximately 690 meters. Since large parts of the route are singletracks and unpaved grounds, this tour recommended for advanced cyclists in good physical condition. Read up here for more information.
On this approximately 95km tour via Gaienhofen, Stetten and Mühlhausen-Ehningen you cross the german-swiss border various times. With a summed up altitude of 1050 meters, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The highest point of the tour is at 658 meters. Detailed information is provided here.
Crossing the Bodanrück, this tour takes you into the Hinterland of Lake Constance. The highest point is at approximately 701 meters, giving you a beautiful view of the volcanoes in the Hegau. The round trip of approximately 85km both starts and ends in Radolfzell. Further information is given here.
